Billy Joe Wilson (BJ), 77, of Pecos, passed away on Nov. 4,2022 in Cardwell,Tx.

Visitation, will be 1:00 - 8:00 pm, Sunday Nov.13  at Pecos Funeral Home

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Monday November 14 at Pecos Funeral with the Reverend James Henderson of House of Prayers,officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

Billy Joe Wilson was born in Pecos Texas to Charlie and Eula Wilson on November 18,1944. He went to school at Pecos.  He  worked as an Animal Control Officer for the City of Pecos/Pecos Police Department for 30 plus years . He served as head of the Pecos Police Explorers, Reeves County Ambulance, Lions Club, Pecos Jaycees. He helped with Toys for tots and other community activities. He had many names: dad,daddy, pops,grandpa and still Bill. He was nicknamed Daddy Goat by family and friends. His family was always his priority.

Billy Joe (BJ) is preceded in death by parents Charlie and Eula Wilson, Brother Charles Wilson, Sister Patricia Mosley, Son James Henry and Daughter Sabrina Wilson. Billy Joe is survived by Son: Charlie J.(Dolores) Wilson of Pecos Texas, Mary Kate (Jose) of Garland Texas, His sister Mildred Ferguson of Allen, Texas, ex-wife/caregiver Ruby Wilson of College Station,Texas.

4 Grandchildren and 7 great-Grandchildren. Host of nephews and nieces.  Pallbearers will be Bobby Ray Smith, Deavin Shorter, Baush Richardson, Marion Davis, Benny Ephriam Jr., Dominic Jenkins.  Honorary Pallbearers Malcolm Brown, Phillip Henry,Cam Fields, Maddox Brown, Maxwell Brown, Zachary Brown, Paxton Brown
