Our beloved Adelina Garcia Mata, 76, of Pecos passed away on March 21 ,2025 in Pecos, Texas

Adelina Garcia Mata was born in Pecos to Gregoria Muñiz Garcia on September 22, 1948. She went to school in Pecos. She married Ismael C. Mata on April 16, 1969 in Pecos. Adelina was a dedicated hardworking mother and wife. Known for her unwavering love, selflessness, and strength.

Adelina was a loving mother and grandmother with a beautiful soul who would help anyone. Her radiant smile lit up any room she entered. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family.

Adelina found immense joy in raising her children, grandchildren, and those who came into her life. Adelina was known for her patience, kindness, and creating a loving and nurturing environment for all.

Although Adelina is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.

Adelina Garcia Mata is preceded in death by her husband; Ismael C Mata, mother; Gregoria Muñiz Garcia, maternal grandparents; Teófilo and Jesus Garcia.

Adelina Garcia Mata is survived by children; daughter's; Lucia Aguilar & Sarah Ramirez, son; Felipe Mata, brother; Abel Pallanes (spouse Elsa Pallanes) Grandchildren; Hector Aguilar, Georgina Ramirez, Alexandra Garcia, Cynthia Ramirez, Destiny Aguilar, Andres Mendoza, Zachariah Mata, and Ariel Mata, 16 - great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Andres Mendoza, Zachariah Mata, Ryan Mata, David Ramirez, Andres Garcia & Jesse Prieto.

Visitation for Adelina will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm and Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm, with a Rosary to be recited on Thursday at 7:00 pm at Pecos Funeral Home. 

Mass will be celebrated for Adelina on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Santa Rosa Catholic Church at 10:00 AM in Pecos, Texas. Burial will follow the mass at Green Wood Cemetery.
