Aida Villalobos

Aida Hignojos Villalobos, 72, of Barstow, Tx., passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at her home in Barstow.

Viewing will be on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and the rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. at Pecos Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Barstow, Texas. Burial will follow at Barstow Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

Aida Hignojos Villalobos was born in Barstow, Texas to Angel and Francisca Villalobos on June 11, 1950. She attended Barstow schools and graduated from Barstow High School in 1969. She never married and had no children. She spent her life devoted to taking care of her mother and younger sister who is special needs. Aida was devoted to her nieces and nephews and assisted in helping care for them. She devoted her time to her church, Our Lady of Refuge, and was a precinct election official for many years.

Aida is preceded in death by her parents Angel and Francisca Villalobos.

Aida is survived by her brothers Felipe Villalobos and his wife Simona, Ruben Villalobos, Salvador “Chava” Villalobos and his wife Dulces, her sisters Yolanda “Yoly” Villalobos and Diamantina Renteria and her husband Ysidro. Her nephews Salvador Villalobos, Jr., Angel Villalobos, Joe Villalobos, Ysidro Renteria, Jr., and her nieces Michelle Workman and husband Jim Workman, Carmelita Villalobos, Amanda Renteria Villescas and husband Luis Villescas, and her great nephews Justin Workman and Phillip Workman, and great niece Kamila Villescas.

Pallbearers will be Salvador Jr., Angel, and Joe Villalobos, Ysidro Renteria, Jr., Justin and Phillip Workman.
