Anita Baeza

Anita Villaloboz Baeza, 86, of Pecos, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2023, in Midland, Texas surrounded by her family. Anita was born and raised in Pecos to Toribio and Maria Villaloboz on January 28, 1937. She attended Earl Bell Elementary and graduated from Pecos High School in 1956. She married Lazaro Baeza on June 28, 1958. She worked as a bookkeeper after high school and later became a local business owner with her husband and family. The most recent business was the Jersey Lilly Steakhouse which they operated from 1985 until 1996. Throughout most of her adult life, she has been a volunteer in the community for several organizations including Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Anita had a genuine love for her four boys and family. She enjoyed volunteering, helping others, and cooking.
Anita is preceded in death by her father (Toribio Villaloboz), mother (Maria Villaloboz), husband (Lazaro Baeza), son (Harold Baeza), brother (Benjamin Villaloboz), sister (Bertha Brijalba), and brother (Toribio Villaloboz Jr.).
Anita is survived by Michael Baeza (son) and spouse Angie, Jeffery Baeza (son) and spouse Mari, Donald Baeza (son) and spouse Veronica, 17 Grandchildren, and 9 great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 pm to 9 pm on Tuesday June 13 with a Rosary at 7pm at Pecos Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday June 14 at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Toyah Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
