Antonia Herrera

Antonia Herrera, 80, of Pecos, Tx., passed away on December 16, 2021 in Pecos. Antonia was born in Big Spring, Tx., to Santiago and Senona Villa on December 10, 1941. She married the one and only love of her life Guadalupe Herrera on June 10, 1966. She was a stay at home mom for her three children and later in life became a care giver of children and the elderly. She was a catholic and a life time Pecos resident.

Antonia is preceded in death by her husband Guadalupe, her parents, and her three brothers Manuel, Cruz, and Agustin Villa. Also preceding her death are "Ona's" boys Joseph and John Benjamin Tarin.

Antonia is survived by her daughters Olivia Herrera and Elena Herrera (spouse Joe Pando) and son Lupe Herrera (spouse Betty Herrera). She is also survived by her grandchildren who were her pride and joy: James Joseph Herrera (spouse Sydni Herrera), Monique Herrera, Aaron Pando, Aiden Pando, and Frankie Hernandez (spouse Mandy). One great grandchild Levi Hernandez. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive her.

Pallbearers will be James Herrera, Aaron Pando, Aiden Pando, Jason Martinez, Juan Vasquez, and Tony TH Hinojos.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 1pm to 9pm with Rosary recited at 7pm at Pecos Funeral Home mask are to be worn at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at  Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church, mask are required at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by Pecos Funeral Home.

The family of Antonia Herrera would like to thank the many special people and agencies that helped care for her during her illness: Doctors Cerna and Serrano, Nurses at American Home Health, Nurses and workers at Focus Care Living Facility, PCMH Home Health  and Hospice, home carers Margarita Varela and Jesus Gonzales. To all of our family and friends, and prayer warriors thank you for your prayers! Our Mom is finally pain free and at peace! God bless all of you.
