Benicio Serrano

Benicio L. Serrano, of Pecos, passed away on Tuesday, July 9 in Lubbock.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home. Rosary will be said on Thursday at 7:30 pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 12:00 pm at Christ the King Catholic Church in Balmorhea, burial will follow at Balmorhea Cemetery.

Mr. Serrano was born on August 3, 1935 in Ojinaga Chihuahua, Mexico to Salome Serrano and Juliana Lujan. He married Ramon Baeza Serrano in June of 1950. He was a laborer in the agriculture industry.

Benicio is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother.

He is survived by his spouse Ramona Baeza Serrano; son, Teodoro Serrano and wife Carmen of Pecos, daughter, Beatrice Bustamante Serrano of Presidio; two brothers, Jorge Serrano and wife Sylvia from Hobbs, New Mexico, Severo Serrano and wife Lisa of Carlsbad, New Mexico; one sister, Irma Leaton of Alberquerque, New Mexico. Nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, also survive.
