Billie Kaye Sample Sadler of Pecos, Texas passed away on Saturday April 14, 2018 in Midland Texas surrounded by friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 20, 2018 from 10 am to 8:00 PM
Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 21, 2018 at 10:00 Am at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Carroll's Officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.
Billie was born in Fort Worth Texas to Mary Lou Loud and Silas Sample, on August 12, 1927
She married Sidney L Sadler on August 12, 1948 in Austin Texas.
She was employed by the PBTISD for 25 years. She started her teaching career at Carver school then moved to Earl Bell school then moved to Pecos Elementary and the to Bessie Haynes Elementary school.
She was Principal at Pecos Kindergarten until she retired.
She was also a 50 year member of Alpha Kappa Sorority Inc., she also taught and served as an administrator in the Pecos Barstow Toyah ISD for 25 years. She was active with the Texas Education Agency. She also served on the Hospital Board, and the United Methodist Women Association, the Reeves County Teachers credit Union board and 12 years on the PBT ISD School Board.
She is preceded in death by her Mother Mary Lou Sample, Her sister Dorothy Logan and Lula Mae Sample, Her husband Sidney L Sadler, Her daughter Sylvia Sadler and a Son Cecil Sadler.
Mrs. Sadler is survived by her son Michael Sadler and Wife Margaret Sadler of Midland, Texas; a Daughter Dr. Cynthia Wilson and Husband Livy Wilson of Houston.
4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews
Pallbears will be Alfred Fields, Chris Wesley, John Salcido, Bobby Ephriam, Jimmy Dutchover, and Ricky Dunbar.
Honorary Pallbears will be Quincy Lanier Sadler, Stephen Jordan Wilson and Jimmy Garcia and Clint Fletcher.
The Family of Mrs. Sadler wishes to give special thanks to Manor Park and Rehabcare Physical Therapy of Midland, Hospice of Midland, Lucy Dominquez, Robin Land and Christina Prieto and her Daughter in Law Margaret Sadler
