Braulia Machuca

Braulia (Lala) Machuca, 95, of Pecos, passed away on December 26, 2022, in Pecos, TX. Braulia was born to Bonifacia and Macario Acosta in Barrancus de Guadalupe Chihuahua, Mexico on March 26, 1927. She married Salvador Cano Machuca Sr. on August 20, 1949 in Barrancus Chihuahua, Mexico. Braulia loved to sew, cook, bake and listen to music. She will always be remembered for her homemade tamales, biscochos and empanadas.

Braulia is preceded in death by her husband Salvador Machuca Sr.; parents Bonifacia and Macario Acosta; brothers Jose, Chon, Agapito, Alvino and Pedro; sisters Inez and Atonia; sons Salvador Jr and Mike Machuca.

Braulia is survived by one son Andres Sr and spouse Hilda Machuca of Pecos, TX; one daughter Socorro Machuca, and Tomasa Salgado of Pecos, TX. And 10 grandchildren: Andres Jr (Gracie), Julian (Ashley), Darrell (Jessica), Michael (Lupita), Tracie (Tremaine), Patricia (George), Salvador III (Lisa), Bruce (Trish), Chris, and Annette (Ramon); 37 great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Andres Machuca Jr., Michael Machuca, Chris Machuca, Jaime Legarda, Victor Salazar and Eddie Matta.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 9 am to 9 pm at Pecos Funeral Home, with Rosary at 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Pecos, TX. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
