Clara Allphin

Clara Ann Allphin (Patton), 82 of Seminole, Texas, returned to the Lord on December 25th, 2019 in Pecos, Texas.

Visitation will be Friday the 27th from 11:00am to 8:00pm at the Pecos Funeral Home. Family will be in attendance from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.

Funeral services will be held graveside at the Ross Cemetery in Baird, Texas at 2:00pm on Saturday the 28th.

Clara, lovingly referred to as “Nanny” since July 24th, 1984, was born to RC and Estelle Patton in Jayton on Valentine’s day in 1937. Nanny attended school in Seminole and was a lifelong resident of Seminole and Pecos. Nanny was a dedicated Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was a devout Christian and truly a woman of Proverbs who served her family and others above herself. Nanny was the embodiment of empathy and love. Her crown awaits her.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Curtis Conrad Allphin Jr. and an infant daughter, Andrea Lynn. She is survived by her daughters Lowree Crum and husband Eddie and Toyah Gholson and husband Brad, her loving grandchildren; Nikki Ermis and husband Luke, Travis Walker, Wes Crum and wife Kassi, Will Crum, Steven Gholson and Billy Gholson. Nanny had the pleasure of seeing her great grandchildren, Rayden Ermis, Rylen Ermis, Clara Crum and Tillie Crum.

Pallbearers will be Luke Ermis, Travis Walker, Wes Crum, Will Crum, Steven Gholson and Billy Gholson.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Alzheimer Foundation of America or the West of the Pecos Museum.

The family would like to extend our gratitude to all who supported Nanny and her daughters during her illness. Dr. Serrano, and the nursing staff at Reeves County Hospital were a blessing to us during a difficult time. Thanks to Todd Davis for his support and kindness and all the good folks at the 5th and Bois D’Arc Church of Christ.
