Clara Corine Cravey, 87, of Pecos Texas, passed away on November 9, 2018 in Pecos, Texas.
Corine Cravey was born in Paducah, Texas to Robert Seveir and Bertha Mable Lowrance on July 28, 1931. She graduated from Iraan High School as Salutatorian. She married Edgar Therman Cravey on December 26, 1948 in Sheffield, Texas. She moved to Pecos, Texas in 1961. She was the manager of the Gold Bond Stamp Center and worked in the Reeves County Tax office. She was office manager for Canal Well Service and ETC Oil Company for many years. She bowled in several leagues and enjoyed crocheting and working crossword puzzles. She served as caregiver for many family members over the years and was always ready to help others. She started a family reunion tradition starting in 1981 that continues today. She enjoyed traveling and spent many years going places in her RV. Traveling to Hawaii was a highlight of her travels.
Corine Cravey was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Cox (sister), Aline Hughes (sister), Elroy Lowrance (brother), and Leroy Lowrance (brother).
Corine Cravey is survived by her husband Edgar Therman Cravey, her brother Alvin Loyd Lowrance and wife June of Pecos, Texas, son Ronald Therman Cravey and wife Nancy of Leander, Texas, her son John Robert Cravey and wife Kathy of Pecos, Texas, her daughter Debra Corine Sanders and husband Calvin of Winnie, Texas: her grandchildren Chris Cravey, Susan Wimberly, Jeremy Sanders, Robert Cravey, Brandon Sanders, Melissa Sanders and Caitlin Cravey; her great-grandchildren John David Cravey, Lilah Cravey, Myla Wimberly, Braxton Sanders, Ella Wimberly, Gus Cravey and Brayden Sanders; and great-great granddaughter Brooklyn Cravey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 13 at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Family will be there to greet friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 14 at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Calvin Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
Her grandchildren will be pallbearers.
