Clyde Daughhetee

Clyde Leon Daughhetee, 89, of Pecos, passed away on April 15, 2023 at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos, Texas.

Clyde was born September 24, 1933 in Willow Springs, Wisconsin to Daniel Daughhetee and Catherine Pilling. He went to school in Barstow, Texas and married Mary Glaspie on September 22, 1978. He graduated from Sul Ross State University and worked as Regional Director for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service for over 30 years, earning many awards and recognitions during his career. He was involved with the Rotary Club in Pecos, Reeves County Golf Course, and contributed to many charitable organizations.

Clyde is preceded in death by wife Mary, parents Daniel and Catherine, sisters Frances “Fefe”, ElvaRene “Sis”, Dawn, and Joyce, and brothers Daniel, Lawrence “Slim”, and Lynman “Dode”.

Clyde is survived by stepson Jeff Deitiker (Kristi), sister Shirley, grandchildren Krystal Christiansen, Bryce Deitiker, and Kolten Walsh, and great-grandchildren McKynlee Christiansen, Barrett Christiansen, and Gentry Christiansen, and very special friend, Robert Natividad.

The family wishes to extend a very special thanks and appreciation to all those who took care of Clyde over the years including, Irene Juarez, Manuel Garza, Sam Lindsay, and Robert Natividad.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 20th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. at Pecos Funeral Home on 607 W. 3rd. St. in Pecos, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 21st. at Pecos Funeral Home with name minister of name of church, officiating. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to one Clyde’s favorite charities, West of the Pecos Museum, ASPCA, Military and Police Dogs, St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, or St. Josephs Indian School.
