Daniel J. Jaramillo, 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Daniel was born in Pecos, Tx. to Sarah and Clemente Jaramillo on April 5, 1947. Daniel was known for being a valued member of the community and beloved brother, father, and grandfather. Throughout his life, Daniel's unconditional and unwavering love and support is felt by his family, many friends, neighbors and various members of the community. He is respected for proudly and courageously serving in Vietnam from Sept of 1967 to Feb of 1969. Daniel earned the respect and admiration of all who knew him. He was a pillar of strength and integrity, embodying the values of hard work and compassion. Daniel’s kindness touched the lives of many, and his presence will be deeply missed. In our hearts Daniel will remain an example of a hardworking, dedicated, protector and provider. He will forever be cherished and may his legacy continue to inspire those who fortunate enough to know him.
Preceded in death by his adored wife Eva Huerta Jaramillo, as well as his brothers Jose, Eliseo, Ernesto, Clemente Jr., and Victor Jaramillo and sister Emma Alamaraz.
Daniel is survived by his siblings, Manuel Jaramillo, Ector Jaramillo, Rachel Jaramillo Banuelos, and Maria Hernandez. His children, Roger & Jo Anna J. Benitez, Daniel Oscar Jaramillo, Amanda Renee Jaramillo, Jennifer Jaramillo and grandchildren, Danielle Consuelo Arredondo, Abigail Christine Arredondo, Carlos Jesus Gomez, Sarah Love Lopez, and Evan Renee Jaramillo.
Pallbearers will include Oscar Daniel Baeza, Samuel Florez, Valentin Almaraz, Jim Ivy, Rudy Martinez, Carlos Lara, Ken Russel, and Richard Molina.
Visitation will be held at Pecos Funeral Home on Monday, July29, 2024 from 10 am to 9 pm with Rosary following at 7 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catherine's Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 with Interment following at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.
The Jaramillo family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Cerna, Reeves Regional Home Health, and countless family friends, and neighbors for their care, dedication and loving hearts. We could have not gone through this journey without you.
