Dolores Ann Mcpherson

Dolores Ann Sitton McPherson “Ann”, 83 of Pecos, TX passed away on January 10, 2022 in Pecos. Ann was born in Pecos, TX to Fitzhugh Lee and Aurie Hester Sitton on July 12, 1938. She went to grade school and high school in Pyote, TX. During high school, she won the state championship in tennis. Sports, specifically tennis and football, remained a passion her whole life. She graduated from the University of Dallas as a registered nurse and worked prior to her marriage at the Reeves County Hospital. She married Ray C. McPherson on December 28, 1963 in Pyote, TX.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband Ray, her parents Fitzhugh and Aurie, and her brothers Billy Lee Sitton and Fred Sitton.

Ann is survived by her nieces Beverly Sitton, Susan Sitton, Patricia Phillips and grand-nephew Gene Hand. She is also survived by her step children Ray C. McPherson, Jr. “Sonny,” Bonnie Emerson and step-grandchildren Tami McPherson Davis, Donna McPherson McElroy, Russ Emerson and Julie Emerson Strother. She loved her family and will be missed by them.

Pallbearers will be Gene Hand, Ken De Solis, Russ Emerson, James McElroy.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., on Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Pecos Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m.on Monday January 17, 2022, in the chapel of the Pecos Funeral Home with Gordon Hoyt formerly of the 1stChristian Church in Pecos officiating. Masks will be required at the funeral home.

The family knows that Ann would have appreciated any memorials be given in her name to the causes nearest and dearest to the giver’s heart.
