Edward (Balita) Garcia 78, of Pecos, Texas passed away on January 9, 2019 in Pecos, Texas.
Edward was born in Barstow, Texas on August 25, 1940 to Cecilio Garcia and Alejandra Gamboa.
Edward attended Barstow High School through the tenth grade and worked as a pipeline fitter until he retired in 2001. He was a lifelong Catholic.
Edward is survived by his wife Aida Garcia; Three sons; James Garcia, Rene Garcia and Eric Garcia; Two Daughters Denise Garcia Valdez and Crystal Colon; and one sister, Eusebia "Cheva" Lopez.
9-grandchildren and 6-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Madrid, Patrick Madrid, Andrew Garcia, Lee Arredondo, Johnny Maldonado, Joshua Anchondo, and Israel Arredondo.
Visitation will be held on Sunday January 13, 2019 from 1 to 9 PM at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel, and on Monday January 14, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Rosary will be held on Monday Jan. 14, 2019 at 7:30 PM at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan 15, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Family wishes to thank Santa Rosa Catholic Church and the Nurses from American Home Health and Hospice.
Services are under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home.
