Elma Gonzales

Elma Gonzales, 69, of Pecos, Tx., departed this earth to her eternal home on Monday, November 29, 2021. After her silent battle with cancer. Elma was born on August 13, 1952 in La Esmeralda Chihuahua Mexico to Maria and the late Adan Garcia. She married to the late Joe Calba in 1973 up until his death in 1993, during that time they had four beautiful daughters Lisa Machuca, Lorie Calba, Cecilia Calba and Leslie Calba and blessed her with 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Elma loved to tend to her flower garden, enjoyed singing in the church choir, camping, and spending time with her friends. Elma enjoyed most of all long drives along side her husband Pablo Gonzales in their classic car. She was a lifetime Pecos resident and a Catholic member of the Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church.

Elma married Pablo Gonzales in 1996. She was honored to have been part of a beautiful family which includes the late Gabriel Gonzales, and is survived by Harvey Gonzales, Tony Gonzales, Mary Gonzales, Raul Gonzales, Danny Gonzales, Elizabeth Fierro, and Robert Gonzales and their wonderful spouses and 21 grandchildren and 10 great grand children.

Elma is also survived by her siblings Maria Carrasco, Lupe Prieto, Ruben Garcia, Elida Garcia, Adan Garcia Jr., Monica Garcia, Sally Hodges, Bertha Benedict, George Garcia, and several nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Pecos Funeral Home from 1 pm to 9 pm, with rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10 am, mask are required. Interment will follow after the service at Greenwood Cemetery.
