Epifania Mora, 97, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on July 5, 2021, in Pecos. Epifania was born in Balmorhea, Texas to Manuel and Francisca Martinez on February 3, 1924. She married Basilio D. Mora Sr. in 1940 in Pecos.
She worked for The Camp Hospital and as a laundry presser for Pecos Cleaners and Laundry for a number of years. She was involved in Catholic Church clubs such as, The Guadalupanas Society, Cruzistade Colores, and provided support and services to all church events.
Epifania is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Francisca Martinez, her husband, Basilio D. Mora Sr.,siblings, Maria Garcia, Senaida Garcia, Faye Martinez, and grandson, Ruben Baeza Jr.
Epifania is survived by children, Alicia and Carlos Nichols, Delilah and Ruben Sr. Baeza., Basilio Jr. and Elena Mora , and Jerry and Angie Mora.
She is survived by brothers and sisters, Jesus Martinez, Angelita Carrasco, Margarita Estorga, Sulema Leyva, and Jose Martinez. She is survived by 15 grandchildren,36 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Benny Mora,Anthony Baeza, Israel Nichols, Jacob Mora, JerrisRayos, and Charles Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Issac Nichols and Chris Baeza.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 9 am to 9 pm, Rosary will be at 7 pm at Pecos Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday, July 9, 2021 at Pecos Funeral Home with Father Cruz Longoria of Santa Rosa Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery.
