Esteban Barrera Sr.

Esteban A. Barrera Sr., 89, of Pecos, Tx., was summoned by our Heavenly Father on June 1, 2024. Esteban was born on December 26, 1934 to Fransico Barrera and Patronila Acosta Barrera, he was a devoted Catholic and a Life long Pecos resident. He was always a hard worker and provider. He worked different Jobs when young to help his family. He worked with Reeves County, City of Pecos where he was street Supervisor for many years. On March 7, 1957 he married the love of his life Virginia Barraza Barrera together they enjoyed time with their friends and family, he enjoyed going out to eat, dancing, listening to music and reminiscing about old times.

Esteban is preceded in death by his parents Fransico and Patronila Barrera, loving wife Virginia Barrera, daughter Nancy Sanchez, brother Benancio Barrera, sisters; Ramona Benavides, Cuca Escobedo, and Maria Gomez recently deceased Albert Barrera.

Left to cherish his memory are his five children; Esteban (Irma) Barrera Jr., of Pecos, Tx., Mark Barrera, Veronica (Jimmy) Garcia, Isabell Barrera (Jesse Nunez) of Odessa, Tx., Mario (Jenny) Barrera of El Paso, Tx., nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Garcia Jr., Jacob Barrera, Jason Barrera, Ramiro Garcia, Rey Loera, and Jay Navarrette.

Family would like to thank EMTS, Staff at Reeves Regional Health for the warm, wonderful care they provided him. And Pecos Funeral home Staff, Michael Buentello, Anita Barragan, Pablo Carrasco, and Alexus Davis for there support they have provided.
