Faye Hardwick passed away at the McCamey Convalescent center on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in McCamey, TX. She was born September 20, 1915 in Norman, Oklahoma and lived a full and blessed 100 years.
She married Tommy Carl Hardwick on January 14, 1933 and they made their life together in Pecos, TX.
Faye is survived by one son Manuel Hardwick and wife Inez of Comstock, TX., four daughters; Gwen "Toots" Ownes of Lamesa, TX., Geneva Pace and husband David of Andrews, TX., Janice Wells and husband Royce of Saginaw TX., and Katherine Leffingwell and husband Butch of San Angelo TX. She is also survived by one daughter-in-law, Pat Hardwick of Midland TX. 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 29 great-great grandchildren also survive, making her family five generations strong.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pecos Funeral Home 607 W. 3rd Pecos TX 79772. Her Celebration of life services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Frykman of Comstock, Texas officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Faye's grandsons: Michael Ray Hardwick, Jerry Hardwick, Dewayne Wells, Brent Leffingwell, Brandon Pace and Great grandson Jason Gould.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made directly to the American Heart Association or the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation in Faye's honor.
