Gene Wilkins

Gene Lewis Wilkins was born March 23, 1961 in Pecos, TX and passed away on January 19, 2015 in Odessa, TX. Gene was 53 years old.
Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Birdie M. Wilkins, his sister, Esther M. Richarson, and two brothers Perry L. Wilkins and Dennis O. Wilkins.
Gene was born and raised in Pecos. He attended school in Pecos until he graduated from Pecos High School. After his graduation from high school, Gene joined the U.S. Marines Corp. Gene is the father of three children two young women and one young man. Gene also assisted in raising his step children during his time on this earth. Gene Lived in San Diego, CA until he moved back to Pecos three years ago. Gene was very active in his church and worked with the San Diego Christian Missions. Gene loved life and had no problem helping others. Gene never meet a stranger. Gene was employed by Loves Truck Stop and County Stores up until the time he became ill. Gene was a brother, father, uncle, cousin, and son.
Gene L. Wilkins will be missed by all those who loved him. In his Home going he leaves behind three sisters, Lois, Margi, and Evelyn and one brother Curtis; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, uncles and friends.
The Wilkins and White families would like to thank everyone for their prayers, and kindness during this time.
