Guadalupe (Lupita) Aranda Mendoza, age 82, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, enroute to her home from Lubbock, Texas.
Lupita was born in Balmorhea, Texas to Marcos and Bernarda U. Aranda on December 15, 1938. She married Magdaleno (Neno) Licon Mendoza on March 14, 1958, at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Pecos, Texas, and she was a housekeeper. Also, she was a Guadalupana and assisted the community with her donations of money, time, and friendship to who needed it.
Lupita is preceded in death by her husband, Magdaleno (Neno) Mendoza. Parents, Marcos and Bernarda U. Aranda; Siblings, Pedro U. Aranda, Patricia U. Aranda, Christin U. Aranda, Hilaria A. Buendia. Grand children, Ernie M. Natividad & Zachary M. Fuentez, and Great Grandchild Ethan M. Gonzales.
Lupita is survived by Ismael A. Mendoza and spouse Sylvia V. Mendoza, Hector (Tito) A. Mendoza and spouse Imelda L. Mendoza, Florinda (Florence) M. Natividad and spouse Ernest (Chon) Natividad, Marcos A. Mendoza and spouse Hilda L. Mendoza, and Manuela (Nellie) M. Bowers and spouse Lance Bowers. Her sister, Alejandra Aranda Garcia, with (16) grandchildren and (36) great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Hector (Titito) Mendoza Jr., Joseph Mendoza, Marky L. Mendoza, Magdaleno (Neno) L. Mendoza, Anthony M. Natividad, and Ismael V. Mendoza Jr.
Visitation with immediate family only set for Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 3 p.m. Public viewing set for Monday, September 20, 2021, starting at 9 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Rosary scheduled Monday, September 20, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Pecos Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in Pecos, Texas with Father, Jose De la Cruz Longoria officiating the service at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Internment will follow and will be at the Barstow Cemetery with burial arrangements made by the Pecos Funeral Home. Mask are to be worn at all services.
