Henry Jumbo 69 of Pecos Texas passed away on February 21, 2019 in Pecos, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 27, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Pecos Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday February 28, 2019 at 1:00 PM at West Park Baptist Church with Pastor Rey Carreon Officiating. Interment will follow at Cowboy Resting Place Family plot South of Toyah, Texas.
Henry was born at the Jumbo Family House near Many Farms AZ on the Navajo Reservation to Kador and Zonnie Jumbo.
Henry was married to his beloved wife Sadie for over Forty years. Henry was a Christian and often talked about being able to run on two legs when he got to see Jesus. He also loved horses and was an excellent roper his days. He was a man of great courage, never allowing his handicaps to keep him from doing the things he loved to do. Most others would shy away from work, but not uncle Henry. As many called him. Back before he retired from Pennzoil, his boss used to say, "Bring me 3 more like Jumbo, and I can fire the other 200". Yes, he worked the railroads; helped produce Sulphur; was a creative Silversmith; Roped many a steer, and prayed many a prayer, He loved his Savior, his wife and his family and his country.
He is preceded in death by his parents Kador and Zonnie Jumbo, and one sister Katherine James.
Henry is Survived by his beloved wife Sadie Jumbo; Two sons; Dewayne and wife Brooke and Harry Jumbo; and his three beloved grandsons; Drayton Henry; Davin Leonard and Colton Brennan Jumbo.
He is also survived by Two sisters; Mary Ann James and Shirley Naize; and one Brother Steven Begay.
Services are under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home.
