Inez De La Rosa Herrera, age 93 of Pecos, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Inez was born in Sierra Blanca, Tx to Pedro and Guadalupe De La Rosa. She was married to the late Eloy Herrera of Colorado City, Texas.
Inez was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and an amazing loving person who brought happiness to every life she had touched. She was devout Catholic with an unending faith in God. She was a member of the Guadalupanas and a Lector at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church.
Inez was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-years, Eloy Herrera; her parents; and four brothers.
Inez is survived by two brothers Amador De La Rosa of El Paso, Tx and Eduardo De La Rosa of San Bernardo, California; son Sam Herrera and wife Ann of Arlington, Texas; Son Luis Herrera and wife Teresa of Jal, New Mexico; Daughter Molly Campos and Husband George of Hobbs, New Mexico; and by her sons Eloy Herrera and wife Mary, Raul Herrera and wife Romelia, Ricky Herrera and wife Sylvia, Gilbert Herrera and wife Elvia, Arturo Herrera and wife Valerie, and her daughters Irma Butler and Romelia Herrera all from Pecos, Texas.
Inez is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 89 great grandchildren, and 35 great-great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 9 am to 9 pm. Rosary will also be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 7 pm. at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Mask are to be worn at all times.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 10 am at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church. Mask are to be worn at all times.
Pall bearers will be her 1St born grandsons from each family.
