James Corbin Leonard 70, of Pecos passed away on February 6, 2014 surrounded by his family.
A Rosary will be Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Pecos Funeral Home at 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church, Pecos Texas on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Burial will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home
James Corbin Leonard was born on May 19, 1943 in Ashland Virginia to Melvin and Martha Leonard. He later joined the armed forces and was stationed in El Paso, Texas, where he met and married the love of his life Elidia Tapia. James and Elidia married on February 2, 1963 and spent 51 years together.
James proudly served his country for four years in the Army.
James is preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Martha Leonard, his sister June and brother in law Cecil Nicholas, brother in law Buck Mallory, son Joseph Leonard, and his greatgrandson Jordan Rumbaugh.
James is survived by his loving wife Elidia his two sons Gary and wife Lisa Rumbaugh of Pecos, and Jimmy and wife Stacey Leonard of Pecos three daughters Norma and husband Michael Moon of Kermit, Debra and husband Larry Martinez of Pecos, and Martha and husband Rolando Garcia of Fort Davis. James is also survived by his brother Joe Leonard of Quinton, Virginia, and his sister Becky Mallory of Ashland, Virginia 23 grandchildren, and 34 greatgrandchildren.
James Grandsons Gary, Steven, Marco, Christopher, Randy, Rene, will serve as Pallbearers
