"Jayson" Ector Martinez

Jayson Martinez, 59, of Pecos, Texas passed away on March 16, 2022, in Midland, Texas.

Jayson Martinez was born in Pecos, Texas to Macario and Juana Martinez on February 4, 1963.  He went to school in Pecos.  He worked as a pumper in the oil field until his mother became ill and was a caregiver for her for 30 plus years.

Jayson is preceded in death by Silvia Martinez, Macario Martinez Sr., Chuy Martinez, and Rudy Reyes.

Jayson is survived by Jason and Valerie Martinez, Julisa Martinez; Elijah, Jalen, Jason Jr, Nina, Ezrahiah, Ezaias, Ezekiel, Aubrey.  George, Marcario Jr., Adam, Alfredo Sr, Danny, Oscar, and Ricky all of Pecos, and Jaime of Carlsbad, New Mexico.  He is also survived by Rosita and Eva of Pecos, Stella of Loving, New Mexico, and Virginia of Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 9am-9pm with Rosary at 7:30pm at Pecos Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10am March 22, 2022, at Santa Rosa de Lima Church.  Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen.

Pall Bearers will be Zachary Rodriguez, Bobby Rodriguez, Johnny Martinez, Ted Bratcher, George Martinez Jr.

Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to Julissa Martinez, if any.
