Jesus M. Hernandez

We deeply mourn the passing of Jesus Montanez Hernandez, a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He peacefully departed this world on November 22, 2023, at the age of 84.

Jesus was born on December 27, 1938, to his loving parents Florencio and Juanita Hernandez in Pecos, Texas. 

Jesus leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by his son, Jesus Hernandez, and his sisters, Hope Nino, Virginia Natividad, Eleanor Dominguez, Benita Martinez, and Rosie Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his son, Israel Hernandez, and his daughter, Sylvia Atrod.

Jesus adored his family, and they meant the world to him. He found immense joy in the laughter and love of his 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who will forever remember him as a pillar of love and wisdom.

We invite friends, family, and members of the community to gather together to honor and celebrate the life of Jesus Montanez Hernandez. Visitation will be held on Monday December 4, 2023 from 11:00 am - 9:00pm, With a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Pecos Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 10:00 am at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Odessa, Texas. The burial will follow immediately after the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Pecos, Texas

As we mourn the loss of Jesus Montanez Hernandez, we find solace in the fond memories and love he shared with all of us. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory live on in our hearts forever.
