Jesus Mendoza

Jesus S Mendoza 98 formerly of Pecos passed away Monday July 20, 2020 at Madison Medical

Resort Nursing Home in Odessa. He was born May 26, 1922 to Nestor and Francisca Sanchez

Mendoza in San Antonio del Bravo Chihuahua Mexico. Jesus married Anastacia Garcia August 8,

1945 at Rancho 'El Quemado' she passed away February 5, 2004. Jesus was the owner and

operator of el 'Rancho El Gatun' in the Municipio de Coyame Chihuahua, Mexico for many

years. He loved to sing especially loved to sing his favorite to tune to all his grandchildren and

they immediately would identify the tune. He loved the outdoors as being a rancher who would

not, Loved sharing as his family calls them 'Charras' and cooking, but most of all he loved his

children and grandchildren very much. Papa and Abuelo you will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Anastacia G. Mendoza, daughter Elvia Ortega,

granddaughter Nancy Mendoza, sisters Liberata Barragan, Rafaela Alvarado, Cruz Mendoza, and

Julia Flores, brothers Vivian, Ezekiel, Dorotea, and Gustavo Mendoza.

He is survived by his daughters Estella Perez and husband Juan of San Antonio.Tx, and Rosa

Carbajal and husband Bruno of Odessa, sons Nestor Mendoza and wife Martha of Pecos, and

Roberto Mendoza and wife Elena of Odessa, sister Antonia Serrano of El Paso, Tx

Mr. Mendoza also leaves to cherish his memory 19 grandchildren and numerous great

grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

DUE to Covid-19 Visitation is set for only 40 persons Thursday July 23. 2020 from 9am-4pm with

a family rosary recited at 2pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Social distancing guidelines apply,

and masks are always required.

Graveside services are set for 10 am Friday July 24, 2020 at Greenwood cemetery with Father Jose Dela Cruz officiating.

Social distancing is requested and, masks are requested at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Sandra Dominguez, Adrian Perez, Juan Perez Jr., Gerardo Mendoza, Jose Dominguez, and Jorge Mendoza Jr.
