Jesus G Silvas, Jr. passed away on Wednesday November 4, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born to Tomasa and was raised by Jose Orona, Sr. His love for his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends was felt and seen by everyone that came to know him. He worked as a mechanic for his entire life, there was not an engine he could not repair. One of his favorite hobbies was fixing antique vehicles with his son. He rebuilt several vehicles, but his favorite was his Model A. He proudly drove the Model A in various parades and displayed it in car shows. His love for racing, lead him to form his own racing team named “Pecos Rabbit.” He shared his passion for racing with his brothers, friends and even made his daughters honorary pit crew members. His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys, he was a true fan no matter what!
To say that we will miss his humor and clever sayings is an understatement. He was taken too soon, but we take comfort that he is in God’s hands. You will be forever missed and will certainly not be forgotten, rest in peace our loving Dad, or “Tata” as his grandchildren fondly called him and was known as “Chuna” by his friends.
