Jim Louis Fletcher born in Pecos, Texas, Jim Louis Fletcher, age 75, passed away on March 30, 2024, in Odessa, Texas. Funeral arrangements were overseen by the Pecos Funeral Home. The burial was on April 5, 2024, at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Pecos. Pastor Rey Carreon of West Park Baptist Church offered remarks.

A host of family and friends survive Jim to include his brother George Earl Fletcher and his wife, Janet of Georgetown, sister Dorothy Fagan and her husband Phil and niece Kim Fagan Van Sickle and her husband Mike of Perkins, OK, three grandchildren, Hudson, Cole and Finley Fletcher of Austin and their father Clint Fletcher, and his aunt, Virginia Gordon of Dallas. Close family friends include Fred and Marsha Pearce of Pecos, Frank and Becky Spencer, Joe and Bernadine Spencer, Frank Spencer III and wife Monica, Josh and Jake Spencer all from El Paso, Ricky, Leslie and Ben Pearce of Tatum, NM, and Jim and Sonia Ellison of Brady. Jim is preceded in death by parents George C. and Edith Fletcher and sister Charlene Fletcher Hayes, all of Pecos, Texas.

Upon graduation from Pecos High School, Jim attended West Texas State University before working in the oil and gas industry. Jim’s extensive career continued to a final superintendent position with Exxon Mobil, overseeing operations for the Permian Basin. Upon retirement Jim met his life partner, Carolyn Mitchell, and together they spent their time in West Texas and the Southern New Mexico mountains. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and was an avid hunter. Memorial donations can be made to the Cardiology Fund at www.mchodessa.com/foundation.
