Josie Arreguy Valencia, 87, passed away on Saturday, the 12th of May, 2018, in Pecos, Texas.
Visitation will be Monday May 14, 2018 9a.m. to 9p.m. and Tuesday May 15, 2018 9a.m. to 9p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
The Requiem Mass will be on Wednesday May 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Rosa de Lima Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Cruz Longoria M.N.M. officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Cemetery.
Josie was born in Pecos, Texas to Ralph "Frenchy" Arreguy and Narcissa "Chicha" Ybarra Arreguy on the 21st of September 1930. She worked at Pecos Bakery and many years at Safeway and Bob's Thriftway as a meat wrapper. Josie was a Roman Catholic and a parishioner of Santa Rosa de Lima Roman Catholic Church in Pecos, Texas.
Josie is preceded in death by her husband Louis "Wicho" Valencia Sr., daughter Ernestina Rayos, her parents Ralph "Frenchy" and Narcissa "Chicha" Arreguy, grandsons Gilberto M. "Healthy" Rayos. Jr. and Matthew Isaac "Chooch" Valencia and her sister Rosemary Arreguy Marta.
She is survived by, daughter Crusita Valencia Rayos and husband Gilberto M. "Hivi" Rayos, son Louis A. Valencia and wife Ludivina Herrera Valencia of Pecos. Siblings Adela Salcido and Ricky Arreguy of Pecos, Tx., Eugenio "Gene" Arreguy of Rockland California and Ralph Arreguy of Elk Grove, California and Bobby Arreguy of Odessa, Texas. She had 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The Family of Josie A. Valencia wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Serrano and staff, Lupe Morales Dora Rodriguez, and Laura Natividad.
