Juan Ramirez

Juan C. Ramirez 90 of Barstow passed away Monday May 11, 2020 at the Reeves County Memorial Hospital. He was born August 7, 1929 in San Angelo, Tx to Viaridomeo and Rita Carrasco Ramirez. He was a Christian Catholic and a retired Ward County employee. He married Jenara Lara in Pecos in 1952 they were married for 61 years until her passing in 2013.

Dad loved to watch western Spanish movies, loved mariachi music, loved to eat especially his favorite green enchiladas with an egg on top better known as ‘Enchiladas Montadas’, but most of all dad loved his children and grandchildren very much. Dad you will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Jenora L. Ramirez, and brothers Francisco, Manuel, Ramon, Pablo, and Eugenio Ramirez.

He is survived by daughters Mary Montoya of Odessa, Margarita Ramirez of Barstow, and Rosa Maria Ramirez of Pecos. sons Juan Ramirez Jr. and wife Gloria of Odessa, and Jose Luis Ramirez and wife Olvido of Midland. sisters Gregoria Bernard and husband Raymundo, Cruz Navarrette and husband Epitacio and Isabel Ramirez all of Carlsbad, N Mx. Brothers Jose Maria Ramirez and wife Estolia of Barstow, Nazario Ramirez and wife Lupe of Pecos, Jesus Ramirez and Domingo Ramirez both of Odessa.

Juan also leaves to cherish his memory 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 visitation is set for 50 persons at social distancing Thursday May 14, 2020 from 9am-4pm with a rosary being recited at 2pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside service is set for 10am Friday May 15, 2020 at Petrolio cemetery with Father Jose Dela Cruz officiating.
