Leonor Armendariz

Leonor C. Armendariz of Odessa passed away on, Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the age of 76. She was born August 16, 1945, in Mumford, Texas to Baldomero and Maria (Herrera) Cortez. Leonor was retired from Ector County Hospital District. She was a devout Catholic.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, son Joe Cortez, son Alex (Priscillia) Armendariz, daughter Leticia (Adrian) Casias and daughter Edna (Chris) Lazo. Grandchildren Leslie Hinojosa, Riley Armendariz, Dej’man (Lauren) Armendariz, Noah (Kasandra) Campos, Jazmyne Armendariz, AJ Casias, Ceon Lazo, Marina Casias, Austin Casias and Jaedyne Armendariz. Great grandchildren Leila, Eli and Ezra Campos. Siblings Trinidad (Jose) Hernandez, Mary Ann (Felipe) Sandoval, Cruz Castillo, Alice Machen, Linda (Salvador) Martinez, Petra Perez, Gloria Perez, Gabriel Perez all of Lubbock Sister-In-Law Janie Cortez and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Leonor was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Juan Armendariz; brother Baldo Cortez, Sisters Isabel Martinez and Minga Gaitan.

Visitation will be from 11:00-4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Pecos Funeral Home in Pecos Texas. with rosary at 7:00 p.m at Our Lady of the Guadalupe Church in Saragosa, Texas. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe with interment to follow at Balmorhea Cemetery.

Masks are required at all times at both funeral home and church. Arrangements are entrusted to Pecos Funeral Home.
