Lucy Acuna

Lucy Portillo Acuna, 85, of Pecos, went to be with the Lord on June 25 at the Stanton Nursing Home.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14 from 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Pecos Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held on Monday, July 15 from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm with rosary to be said at 7:30 pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 16 at 10:00 am at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church and burial to follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.

Lucy was born in Alpine Texas, to Juan & Rosa Villalba, Portillo on March 6, 1934. She attended school in Alpine. Lucy Portillo married Joe Rubio.

Lucy worked for a laundromat and was a seamstress for many years. She loved to sew, travel, draw, dance and loved music.

Lucy is proceeded in death by Joe Rubio, her first husband and Sal Acuna, her second husband.

Lucy Portillo Acuna is survived by her only daughter Guadalupe Portillo Hernandez; grandchildren, Ray, Rosie, Oscar, Michael, & Grace Hernandez; two great grandchildren Jose and Victoria Pineda.
