Luis M. Carrasco, 75 of Pecos, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at his home in Pecos, Texas. Luis was born in Redford, Texas on June 21, 1940 to his late parents Valentin Carrasco and Refugia Molina Carrasco. With the exception of farming and gas production around Texas a few years, Luis lived his life in Pecos with his beloved wife Mary Lou Carrasco where they called home.
Luis attended schools in Redford and Presidio, Texas. He later moved to Pecos, Texas in the 1960's where he met and married his only love Mary Lou Carrasco, they decided to live and marry in October of 1964.
Luis, was a valued asset to Pennzoil Sulphur, formally Duval, where he retired as a production foreman after 29 years.
Luis, loved many aspects in life, his passion for hard work, a strong handshake, and always a man of his word. First and Foremost was Luis' family, with tremendous pride and love for his wife Mary Lou, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. Luis' other great loves where farming and being outdoors. Luis was an avid hunter sporting many trophies with great hunting expeditions with his sons, along his farm in Barstow, Texas.
Luis was preceded in death by his parents Valentin and Refugia Carrasco and his sister Emma Carrasco
Luis is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou Carrasco of Pecos, Texas. His four children Luis U. Carrasco of Midland, Texas, Albert U Carrasco and wife Petra of Fort Worth, Texas, Crissy Martinez and husband Gabriel Martinez of Pecos, Texas, and Mayna Carrasco and Fiancé Michael Benavides of Monahans, Texas. Luis is survived by his grandchildren Alex Morales, Christopher Martinez, Victoria Carrasco, Mathew Martinez, Zachary Carrasco, Maya Carrasco, Alyna Carrasco and great grandchild Isabella Morales and Acacia Carrasco. He is also survived by his four brothers Santiago Carrasco, Samuel Carrasco, Lino Carrasco and Valentin Carrasco Jr. and Four Sisters Carman Connors, Lucia Jimenez, Flora Carrasco and Elida Carrasco.
Rosary is scheduled for Wednesday July 8, 2015 at Pecos Funeral Home starting at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church, Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM with father Jose de la Cruz Longoria officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
