Macario Joel Ramirez Sr. 74, of Pecos passed away on Thursday, January 08, 2015 in Odessa, TX.
Rosary will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church, burial will follow at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home
Macario was born July 13, 2014 in Corpus Christi, TX, to Macario and Ramona Ramirez. Macario lived and went to school in Pecos. Mr. Ramirez married Emma T. Ramirez on February 14, 1979 in Pecos, Texas. Mr. Ramirez made his living working as a truck driver for Plain Oil for 28 years. After retiring Macario volunteered in Pecos with the Red Cross, Crime Stoppers, and Citizen Police Academy. Macario received recognitions awards from Red Cross and Citizen Policy Academy.
Macario is preceded in death by his parents Macario and Ramona, Brother Manuel Sanchez, and a sister Mary Alice Ramirez.
Macario is survived by his wife Emma T Ramirez; children Gloria A. Gonzalez and husband Antonio, Macario Joel Ramirez Jr, Judy a. Rodriguez and husband Danny, Edwin Ramirez, Mary Alice Ramirez, Sim J. Ramirez and wife Karen, Guadalupe Ramirez and wife Olga. Mr. Ramirez is also survived by his brother Raul Galvan and his wife Olga along with 11 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and 15 nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be Raul Galvan, Randy Tercero, Raynaldo Tercero, Stone Abreo, Tristan Gonzalez, Marcos Muniz, Marc Brew, and Mark Matoes
Memorials can be sent to Red Cross of Pecos, Crime Stoppers of Pecos or the Pecos Citizens Police Academy.
The family of Macario Joel Ramirez Sr. would like to thank Dr. Puri of Fort Stockton, TX, Dr. Gadasilla of Odessa, Dr. Vaughn of Pecos, and Dr. Li of Odessa. We would also like to thank the doctors at Odessa Regional, Dr. Vickrum, Dr. a Reddy, Dr. Brown, Dr. Ansurj and Dr. Ortega, and the excellent nurses and nurses-aides. We further would like to thank Star Care Hospice and the American Home Health care of Pecos and Fort Stockton. Dialysis Center of Pecos and the nursing staff, Father Mamachan and seminiarian Carlos of Holy Redeemer in Odessa. And to all those who came to visit, brought food and called and gave comfort to the family.
