Manuel DelaCruz Ledesma 76 of Pecos passed away on August 1, 2018 at his residence in Pecos , Tx.
Visitation will be held on Sunday August 5, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
And on Monday August 6, 2018 from 9:00 am to 9:00 PM at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
Rosary will be said on Monday, August 6 at 7:30 pm. Funeral will be on Tuesday, August 7 at 10 am at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will be held at a later date.
Manuel was born in Millersview, TX to Maximo and Inocente (DelaCruz) Ledesma. He was born on August 12, 1941. He only went to the 5th grade and dropped out to help the family. Later he earned his GED. He married Angelita Hernandez on June 30, 1962 in Levelland, Texas. They later divorced in 1996. He married Margarita Martinez Machuca in 2005. He started as a store manager for United Supermarket in Levelland, TX. Then, he went to work for Dowell Schlumberger. He stayed there until retirement. He worked at Rediger's Pharmacy and Pecos Nursing Home.
He was a member of St. Michael's in Levelland and Santa Rosa Catholic in Pecos. He is preceded in death by his parents, Maximo and Inocenete DelaCruz, Sisters: Silveria Ledesma, Concepcion Ledesma Beltran, Hilda Ledesma, brothers: Rudolfo Ledesma, Lupe Ledesma; great grandkids: Anthony Greer Jr, Dylan Greer, and Taylor Greer.
He is survived by his thirteen children Esperanza (Noberto) Lopez of Odessa, Carol Parhanz of Ft. Worth, Christina (Manuel) Pineda of Laveen, AZ, Michael (Rosi) Ledesma of Melbourne, Florida, Laura (Daniel) Rodriguez, Mark (Tiffany) Ledesma of San Antonio, Mario Ledesma of Midland. Gabriel Machuca of Odessa, Christina Machuca of Odessa, Israel (Isela) Machuca of Odessa, Joseph Paul Machuca of Odessa, Joe Chris Machuca of New York, Edward Machuca of San Antonio, 18 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters- Joe John Ledesma (Maria) of Burlington, Co, Maximo, Jr Ledesma (Janie) of Levelland, Texas, Enrique (Melissa) Ledesma of Lubbock, Aimee (Pedro) Alcazar of Midland, Janie (Lupe) Sainez of Midland, Maria Alicia Gonzales of Ralls, Santos Ledesma of Levelland and Sara Ann (Israel) Carranza of Odessa.
Pallbearers are Mark Ledesma, Max Ledesma Jr., Randy Haynes, Nobert Lopez, Michael Ledesma, Anthony Paul Greer, Max Ledesma, Sr., Estevan Vasquez.
