Manuel Tarango, 84 of Pecos Passed away on Friday, February 06, 2015 at his home in Pecos.
Rosary will be held at Pecos Funeral Home on Sunday, February 08, 2015 from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, February 9, 2015, at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Manuel was born on July 5, 1930, in Chihuahua, Mexico to Crisostomo and Isabel Tarango. Manuel moved to Pecos in 1946 at the age of 16. Mr. Tarango married his wife Mrs. Martha Alicia Tarango on January 6, 1963. Manuel worked for 28 years as a ranch hand. After leaving the ranch, he worked in road construction for eight years and retired from Reeves County after 17 years of service. Manuel loved tending to his roosters, playing Bingo, playing cards, and going to the horse races and casinos. Manuel also loved to sale cantaloupe.
Mr. Tarango is preceded in death by his son Gaston Tarango his parents Crisostomo and Isabel, three brothers and three sisters.
Manuel is survived by his loving wife Alicia Tarango; his daughter Maribel Alvarez, and daughter-in-law Mary Tarango. Manuel is also survived by his grandchildren Mateo Tarango, Marissa Sparkman, Mysela and Miranda Alvarez, and his great grandchildren Keelie and Kylie Sparkman. Mr. Tarango is also survived by two sisters Paula Chaparro and Emilia Martinez both of Mexico.
Papo, as he was known to his grandchildren and dear friends, will be greatly missed.
