Marcos (Mark) "Buddy" Mendoza

Marcos (Mark) A. Mendoza known as “Buddy”, 58 years old of Pecos, gained his wings October 17, 2022 in Odessa Texas after battling pancreatic cancer two and a half years.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Pecos Funeral Home

Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 10:00 am at Santa Rosa Catholic Church Burial will follow a Petrolio Cemetery.

Marcos was born in Pecos to Magdeleno and Guadalupe (Lupe) Mendoza on March 5, 1964. He went to school in Pecos, graduated from Pecos High School in 1980. He was a long-time resident of Pecos. He was Married 39 years to Hilda (Lara) Mendoza and blessed with three children. Bianca (Belolo) Mark (Chaparro) Magdeleno (Partner) Mendoza. He served over 25 years as a Pecos Volunteer Firefighter, he held his position as secretary, first assistant, safety officer, and fireman’s representative. He also served two years as a Councilman for the Town of Pecos City. He devoted his time to his grandchildren, from involvement in 4H to attending all their sports, he was always their #1 fan.  Our hero is now our protector.  He will forever be remembered for his love and devotion to us.

He is preceded in death by his parents Magdeleno and Guadalupe (Lupe) Mendoza.

He is survived by his wife Hilda (Lara) Mendoza, Daughter Bianca Mendoza (Rudy Quintela) Son’s Mark Mendoza, Magdeleno Mendoza (Marina Armendariz). His brothers Ismael Mendoza (Sylvia Mendoza) Hector “Tito” Mendoza (Imelda Lara). His sisters Florinda Natividad (Ernest Natividad) and Nellie Bowers (Lance Bowers). Grandchildren Aaliyah, Josiah, Elijah Tagle. Krysta Florez, Claudia and Rudy Quintela. Landyn, Koah, and Koda Mendoza. Alanie and Reina Mendoza. As well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Pall Bearers will be David (Rerun) Florez, Tomas (Honey) Valdez, Alfredo Martinez, Aurelio (Lelo) Lopez, Ruben (Compita) Tarrango, Hector (Tito) Mendoza, Ismael Mendoza, Ismael Jr. (Gor) Mendoza.
