Margie Lou Windham
On Saturday, July 31, 2021, Margie Lou Windham, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend gained her wings at the age of 72 in Odessa.
Margie was born on May 21, 1949, in Lynn, Arkansas to Gail and Cora Jackson. She was married to Hovis Windham for 37 years and had 3 wonderful children. Margie became a License Vocational Nurse in 1978. She was known for being an amazing caretaker to her husband Hovis until his passing as well as a caregiver to her mother until her their passing. Margie had the most beautiful smile and a hilarious sense of humor. She loved her family first and loved spending time with them the most. Margie also enjoyed music, baking and crocheting.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 5, 2021, at the West Park Baptist Church from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
A celebration of Margie’s life will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2021, at the
West Park Baptist Church with Pastor Rey Carreon officiating. Burial will follow the Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted into the care of Pecos Funeral Home.
Margie was preceded in death her father and mother, Gail and Cora Jackson, her husband, Hovis Windham, her daughter, Melissa Goode, her sister, Lorene Bierman, Carolyn Agee, and Maxine Garrett.
Margie is survived by her children Shelly and husband Joe Henderson of Lake Brownwood, TX; Shane and his wife Nicole Windham of Odessa, TX; and a granddaughter she and Hovis raised, Stephanie Sherrin Lara and Joe Robert Lara Jr. of Odessa, TX; her sister, Charlene Shaw of Big Spring, TX; Elaine and her husband Gary Gray of Big Spring, TX; a brother, Tommy and his wife Millie Jackson of Pecos, TX. A very special thank you to Richard Windham of Pecos, TX. 11 grandkids and 19 great grandkids.
