Maria Elena Madrid Rodriguez

Maria Elena Madrid Rodriguez, 72, of Canada Ancha, Ojinaga, Chihuahua, passed away on March 9, 2024, in Odessa, Texas. TuesMaria Elena was born in Canada Ancha, Ojinaga, Chihuahua to Maria Madrid and Roberto Rodriguez on January 30, 1953. She went to school in Canada Ancha and also acquired her GED in Pecos, Texas. She married Mario Reyes in Pecos, Texas. Maria Elena worked many jobs during her life, everything from working in the Cantaloupe fields, LVN, to a forklift operator. She was an extremely giving person and had a passion for the outdoors, especially fishing.

She is preceded in death by her father, Roberto Rodriguez and her brother, Hector Rodriguez.

She is survived by her mother Maria Rodriguez, ex-husband, Mario Reyes, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Elsie Bentley (Brett), Mario Reyes Jr. (Sulema), Robert Reyes (Elsa), David Reyes (Marisa), Herman Reyes (Deina), and Hector Reyes (Emerald), brother Eddy Rodriguez, two sisters Mary Martinez, Manuela Carrasco, 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Pall bearers will be Eddy Rodriguez, Mario Reyes Jr., Robert Reyes, David Reyes, Herman Reyes and Hector Reyes.

Visitation is on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 11:30 – 9:00, Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Pecos Funeral Home.

 Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 10 am at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church.
