Melba Loys Thomason, 88, of Pecos, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in Pecos. Loys was born on August 9, 1934 to Melvin James and Leeta Loys (Adams) Gray in Munday, Texas. Loys married Jerry Thomason on June 15, 1953 in Munday, Texas. Loys went to school in Munday, Texas, and she was a member of West Park Baptist Church in Pecos. She retired from Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD after 29 years. Loys also owned a Ceramic Shop for many years. Loys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family, and also very talented seamstress and crafter.
Loys is preceded in death by her parents and brother Leroy Gray.
Loys is survived by her husband Jerry Thomason, two sons; Charles Thomason and wife Pam of Muleshoe, Texas, and Vince Thomason and wife Melody of Muleshoe, Texas, her four grandchildren; Brandon Thomason and wife Jana, Bradley Thomason, Bryce Thomason and wife Leigh, Brittany Bowley and husband Bryce, seven great grandchildren; Mackenzie, Braylee, Seth, and Kinley Thomason, Riley Thomason, Brody and Brett Bowley.
Visitation will be held at Pecos Funeral Home from 9 am to 9 pm on Friday, August 26, 2022 located at 607 W. 3rd. St. in Pecos, Texas
Graveside Service will be on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2 pm. at Fairview Cemetery in Pecos, Texas.
Family suggests memorial be sent to Reeves County Meals on Wheels on 700 Daggett, Suite F. Pecos, Texas 79772
