Melissa Lopez

Melissa M.Lopez, 54, of Pecos, Texas passed away on Sunday January 24, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas.  Melissa Lopez was born on January 13, 1967 in Artesia, New Mexico to Manuel C. Lopez and Mary Morales. She attended school Pecos High School. She was married to Arturo Jimenez, was a lifetime Pecos resident and a Christian.

Melissa worked for many places over the years from cleaning homes to being a cook at many restaurants if Pecos to being a full time mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with family and the love of her life her granddaughter.

Melissa is preceded in death by her parents Manuel C. Lopez and Mary Morales, sister Cassandra J. Lopez, son Andrew Garcia and ex-husband Florencio Jr. Garcia.

Melissa is survived by her daughters; Amber Marie Lopez, and Ashley Le'Ann Lopez, son: Adam Garcia  brother; Raymond M. Lopez, Husband; Arturo Jimenez, and granddaughter Jaylah Le'Ann Garcia and many nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and  cousins.

Visitation will held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 9 am to 4pm. at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel, and Friday, February 5, 2021 Graveside service at 2pm officiated by Pastor Adam Lujan at the Saragosa Cemetery in Saragosa, Texas.

DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES AND ONLY 50 IMMEDIATE PERSONS IN THE FUNERAL HOME, AND AT THE CEMETERY  MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED.
