Paul Johnson, 82, Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Pecos, T.X on Nov. 1, 2022.
He was born on June 21, 1940 in Columbia, Tennessee. He moved to Pecos in 1963 and worked in the oilfields. He was the owner of J&J Pumping Service and retired on 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dugan and Lillie Pearl Johnson and one brother, 'Robert Paul.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn Johnson, his son Roy Johnson (Wendy) of Pecos and daughter Paula Valeriano (Humberto) of Alamogordo, NM. His four siblings, Mary "Sis" Scroggins of Culleoka, TN; Howard "Punkin" (Jean) Johnson of Mt.Pleasant, TN; Bobby Johnson of Columbia, TN and Wanda (Jerry) McSwain of Emory, T.X. His four grandsons, Matthew and Michael Valeriano of Albuquerque, NM.; Cody Johnson of Pecos, T.X and Justin Johnson of Austin, T.X. Two great - grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
There is no public funeral service planned. In Paul’s memory, you can donate to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the charity of your choice.
Pecos Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
