Rene Herrera

Rene S. Herrera, of Pecos, passed away in his childhood home April 19, 2014 in Pecos, TX.

He will be in state at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel at 607 W. 3rd St. April 24, 2014 at 9am with services held April 24 at 6pm. Burial will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetary in Pecos, TX on Friday April 25, 2014.

Rene was born in Pecos, Texas to Jose B. Herrera and Soledad S. Herrera on February 24, 1958. He attended and graduated from Pecos High School in 1976 and served his country through the United States Marine Corp. from 1976 until 1980.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Soledad S. Herrera.

Rene is survived by his son Rene Herrera Jr. and wife Monica Herrera of Clovis, NM two grandchildren Axia Herrera 11 and Elijah Herrera 9 also of Clovis Father Jose B. Herrera of San Antonio, TX Brother Roman Herrera of San Antonio, TX Brother Gabriel Herrera of Artesia, NM Brother Pablo Herrera of San Antonio, TX and Sister Elisa Herrera of San Antonio, TX and former spouse Maria Louisa Mawie Rodriguez of Pecos, TX.

Memorials or floral arrangements may be given to the family during the service.
