Romoundo H. Muniz 68 of Pecos passed away Wednesday May 13, 2020 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born October 25, 1951 in Pecos, Texas to Dolores and Rosa Hernandez Muniz, He was retired and a Christian.
Dad was a considered to be a handyman, loved to fix and make things. He loved fishing, shooting his rifles and guns. He loved listening to all types of music, loved his Pecos Eagles. He loved cooking, especially making his famous ‘Asado’ during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. But most of all he loved his precious granddaughter. Dad you will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Candelaria Dominguez, brothers Dolores ‘Lolo’ Muniz, Adan ‘Nanes’ Muniz, and Manuel Muniz.
Romoundo is survived by the mother of his children Mary Calba of Pecos, daughter Stephanie Marie Muniz of Pecos, son David Ray Muniz of Pecos, sisters Dora Zaragoza, Maria ‘Jimmie’ Contreras and Moncerato ‘Monce’ Acosta all of Pecos, brothers Jesus ‘Chuy’ Muniz and wife Elvira of McAllen, Salvador ‘Chilin’ Muniz and wife Liz of Pecos, and Israel Muniz of Alpine.
Mr. Muniz leaves to cherish his memory granddaughter Trinity Faith Muniz of Pecos, and numerous nieces and nephews
Due to COVID-19 visitation is set for 50 persons at social distancing Monday May 18, 2020 from 9am-4pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services have been set for 10am Tuesday May 18, 2020 at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Rey Carreon officiating.
Same COVID-19 precautions apply for the service.
Cremation will follow later.
