Rosa Pena

Rosa Pena 61 of Pecos Passed away July 14, 2020 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. She was born November 15, 1958 to Carlos and Macaria Alaniz Huertas in Marfa, Tx. Rosa Huerta married Raymundo Pena Jr. in 1979 in Pecos and were married for 41 years until her passing. She was a Christian Catholic and a homemaker after years of working at Dairy Queen. Mom loved working for the fast food restaurants, loved cooking, she loved having family over to gather and eat. Her favorite color was blue, but she really liked all sorts of color clothing. She enjoyed listening to music but the best thing of all she loved her children and grandchildren. Mom you will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by parents, sister Eva Jaramillo, brothers Adan and Oscar Huertas.

Rosa is survived by her husband of 41 years Raymundo ‘Ray’ Pena Jr. of Pecos, son Raymundo Pena III and wife Abigail of Fort Stockton, Tx daughters Annabel Estrada and husband John of Tucson Az and Michelle Pena of Pecos. Sister Viola Munoz and husband Marcelino Jr of Pecos

Rosa also leaves to cherish her memory 4 granddaughters Lucilla Estrada, Brooklyn Rivera, Kylie and Aibree Pena. 4 grandsons John Elias Estrada, Raymundo Pena IV, Levi and Dominick Rivera and several nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 visitation is set for 40 persons only Monday July 27, 2020 from 9am-4pm and Tuesday July 28, 2020 from 9am-4pm with a rosary being recited at 2pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Social distancing guidelines apply and masks are required.

Graveside service is set for 10am Wednesday July 29, 2020 at Greenwood cemetery with Father Jose Dela Cruz officiating.

Pall bearers will be Pablo Rodriguez, Brian Fuentes, Anthony Rivera, Johnny Estrada, Greg, Kiki and Pepe Pena.

Social distancing and masks apply at the cemetery.
