Sylvia Miranda

Sylvia T. Miranda, 68, of Pecos, went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2019 in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23 from 1-9 at Pecos Funeral Home. Rosary will be held on Sunday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Pecos Funeral Home.

Mass will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Santa Rosa De

Lima Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery.

Sylvia was born in Pecos to Genaro Luis and Laura Tellez on August 16, 1950. She graduated from Pecos High School and also attended Sul Ross State University. She married Max C. Miranda in October of 1978 in Pecos. Sylvia worked many years with her father and brother at Popular Grocery. She also worked as an Instructional Aide for 24 years at Crockett Middle School and Pecos High School.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her father, Genaro Luis Tellez, mother, Laura Tellez, son Max Miranda and niece Bernadette Tellez.

Sylvia is survived by husband, Max C. Miranda, daughters Laura Lizanne Miranda and Vanessa Anne Miranda, sisters,Frances Porras, Sally Delgado and husband Richard, Linda Boone and husband Bill, Debra Goff and husband William, and Sandra Tellez, brother Gerald Tellez and wife Maria Olga, grandchildren Kylie Roman, Donavan Iglesias, Devon Miranda, Kayden Roman, and Chloe Rodriguez. Sylvia is also survived by a sister-in-law Luz Aguilar, sister-in-law Margarita Beltran and husband Rudy, brother-in-law Virgilio Miranda and wife Rosa, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Teddy Porras, George Brian Gonzales, Dominique Tellez, Juan Luis Borrego, Kylie Roman, Donavan Iglesias, and Jonathan Bowling.

The family of Sylvia wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors at Medical Center Hospital and Star Hospice.
