Terry Upchurch, 55, of Balmorhea, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2015 at the Crane Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a tough battle with cancer. Terry was born September 28, 1959 to Aubry and Betty Harrell in Sanderson, Texas. Growing up Terry enjoyed hunting, working on the ranch, and anything outdoors. She graduated from Iraan High School and attended Texas Tech University where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and Decorating.
On October 22, 1983, she married the love of her life William E. Upchurch in Alpine, Texas. Shortly after marriage they moved to Presidio, Texas where her life as a law enforcement wife began. Terry was very dedicated to her husband and his career. Terry and William were also dedicated to their family, raising their two sons, Mitchell and Brandon, who also chose law enforcement careers. Terry was extremely proud that the men in her family dedicated their lives to serve and protect their communities. Eventually, Terry and William built their dream home in Balmorhea, Texas. Terry loved gardening, spending time with all their animals, and soaking her feet in the stream. Terry was very involved in her community, especially helping animals in need.
Most recently, Terry was employed by Reeves County as a purchasing agent and loved her work and her fellow coworkers. Terry never met a stranger and throughout the years has made many, many friends.
Terry is preceded in death by her parents and brother Kendrick.
Terry is survived by her husband, William, sons Mitchell and his wife Kristen of McCamey, and Brandon of Odessa. She is also survived by sisters Janet and her husband David of Abilene and Dawn also of Abilene. As well as Meg Timmerman, Karen Baxter, and Brittany Palomino, who she loved liked sisters.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Pecos Funeral Home, 607 W. 3rd St. Pecos, Texas. Services will be officiated by Chaplain Kevin D. Zimdars.

The family would like to thank the nurses of Home Hospice, staff of Crane Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the 5 central nurses at Medical Center Hospital for their care and compassion with Terry.
