Tommy Mount

Tommy Mount, 71, of Midland, TX, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014.

Graveside services will be held at Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Pecos, TX on Saturday, November 29, at 2pm with Pastor Jay Mayo of Stonegate Fellowship Church officiating. Family will gather at 1pm at Pecos Funeral Home before proceeding to the cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

Clarence Thomas Mount II, was born in Pecos, TX to Clarence Thomas Mount and Virgie Cowan Mount on May 18, 1943. He graduated Pecos High in 1961 and Sul Ross University in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science. He married Sharon Gohlke Mount on January 16, 1965 in Alpine, TX. He worked as a computer technician for Mobile Oil Corporation in Dallas and Midland, TX for 25 years.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon Gohlke Mount by his son Scott Mount, daughterinlaw Kim, and grandchildren Alex and Addison of Lufkin, TX his son Todd Mount, daughterinlaw Kelly and grandchildren Juliann and Aiden of Midland, TX his brother Bob Mount and wife Karon Adams Mount and children of Round Rock, TX. He is also survived by numerous, longtime friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or a charity of their choice. The family of Tommy Mount wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. David Watkins and staff of the Texas Oncology Cancer Center of Midland, and the Midland Memorial Hospital ER and ICU staff for their exceptional care.
