Trinidad Ortega Jr.

Trinidad Ortega Jr., 75, of Pecos, TX., passed away on May 4, 2022 in Pecos, TX. Trinidad Ortega Jr. was born Loving NM.  to Trinidad Sr. and Rita Ortega on September 1, 1947. He went to school at East Pecos Junior. He married Maria Edia Martinez on February 1, 1968 in Pecos, TX. He worked as a Maintenance Technician at Reeves County Detention Center for Flying J for Southern Union Gas for many years. He was involved in with Evening Optimist Club. He received many awards including Safety Award with the Southern Union Gas Company.

Trindad is preceded in death by his parents Trinidad and Rita Ortega, brother Roberto Ortega, sister Margie Natividad, Son-in-Law Randy Licon.

Trine is survived by spouse Maria Edia Ortega, Children Tammy and husband Julio C. Quinones and Tracey Ortega-Licon, Brothers Arturo, George Sr. wife Carmen, Armando Sr. and wife Angela, Joey and wife Diana and Roy Ortega. Sisters Crissy and husband Freddy Renteria and Debra Ortega. 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Julio C. Quinones, Julio Quinones Jr. Ronnie Licon, Alfredo Urias, Roy Ortega, Scott Martinez, Matthew Ortega, Armando Ortega Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 9 am to 9 pm with Rosary at 7:30 pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. on 607 W. 3rd. St. in Pecos, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Pecos, Texas. Father De La Cruz will be officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
