Victoriano Miramontes

Victoriano Miramontes, 91 of Pecos passed away on September 30, 2014 in Pecos Texas.

Rosary will be held at 7:30PM, Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:00AM at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church with Father John Lucido officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

Victoriano Miramontes was born in Cienega de Castilla, Chihuahua, Mexico to Simon Miramontes and Teresa Murillo de Miramontes on May 16, 1923. He went to school in Chuatemoc, Mexico. He married Maria Dolores Vasquez on September 27, 1952 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico. He worked as a farmer for most of his life. He also worked for the Texas Highway Department. Victoriano was a devout Catholic and was involved in the Cursillo Movement for many years. He and his wife were Eucharistic Ministers and belonged to Santa Rosa Catholic Church.

Victoriano was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Dolores Miramontes, his mom and dad and his 5 sisters Manuela, Sofia, Sara, Elodia and Maria de Jesus.

Mr. Miramontes is survived by four sons Victor Mario Miramontes of Midland, Gerardo Miramontes of Pecos, Jesus Miramontes of Dearborn, Michigan and Francisco Miramontes of Texas City four daughters Margaret Shelkey of Midland, Ana Maria Roquemore of Dallas, Lupe Yarbrough of Rockport and Maria Dolores Dearman of Corpus Christi 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
